Econometrica Editorial Board Changes

Alessandro Lizzeri is stepping down June 30th 2022 as co-editor of Econometrica. The Editorial Board and I have greatly benefited from his wisdom and exemplary service to the journal, and look forward to doing so for another year.

We are fortunate that Marina Halac  has agreed to move from her position as coeditor of Theoretical Economics to become coeditor at Econometrica starting on July 1st 2022. Her research and prior editorial experience make her a great fit for Econometrica, and I look forward to working with her.

Quantitative Economics Editorial Board Changes

I am delighted to welcome a new member to the Quantitative Economics editorial board.  Effective July 1, 2022, James D. Hamilton will become a Co-Editor. Jim is a distinguished scholar and an experienced, fair, and effective editor.  His broad knowledge and expertise will be of great value to the journal.
 
Tao Zha will leave the board at the end of June 2022. For the past four years, the journal has benefitted from his insight and thoughtfulness. I am grateful for his contribution to the review process and the opportunity to work with him on editorial matters.

Theoretical Economics Editorial Board Changes

Marina Halac is stepping down June 30, 2022, as co-editor of Theoretical Economics to become a new coeditor at Econometrica.  Marina has served as an outstanding co-editor of TE since July 2020, and the journal has greatly benefited from her insight and energy.  We are sorry to see her go early but thank her for contributions, and wish her the very best in her new position.

New Monograph Editor Announced

Stéphane Bonhomme stepped down as Coeditor of the Monograph Series on June 30, 2021, two years earlier than originally planned, to start his Editorship at Quantitative Economics.  On July 1st, Serena Ng became the new Coeditor responsible for theoretical and applied econometrics.

The Society is indebted to Stéphane Bonhomme for his contribution to the series during his 3-year tenure as editor. We are very fortunate that Serena Ng has agreed to step in and contribute her extraordinary skills and knowledge to the series for the next five years.
