The Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA) and the Latin American Chapter of the Econometric Society (LAMES) are pleased to announce that the 2024 meeting will be hosted by the Universidad de la República (Udelar), in Montevideo, Uruguay, on November 14 -16, 2024.
This is a special year since we are celebrating the 45 years of LAMES and the 300th anniversary of the foundation of Montevideo.
The conference program co-chairs are Diego Restuccia for LACEA, Cristine Campos de Xavier Pinto for LAMES, and the local committee chairs are Verónica Amarante and Leandro Zipitría from Udelar.

Submissions are invited in the form of complete papers, and should be sent electronically by May 31, 2024. To submit to LAMES click here. To submit to LACEA, click here. To go to the conference website, click here. For each submission, at least one author must be a member of either he Econometric Society or LACEA. A person can submit only one paper, although they can be co-authors in papers submitted by others.
We encourage submissions from both established researchers and young scholars, and we particularly welcome papers from researchers based in Latin America and the Caribbean.
This year we are launching a special call for a workshop and mentoring session for PhD students at Latin American universities. Please refer to the call on the conference website.
