The Econometric Society is pleased to announce that Seoul, Korea will be the site of the 2025 World Congress. The Congress will take place Monday August 18 to Friday August 22, 2025. The hosts are Seoul National University, Korea University, Sogang University, Sungkyunkwan University, Yonsei University, and the Korea Economic Association.

The Keynote speakers are:
The Econometric Society President’s Address: Larry Samuelson (Yale University)
The Walras-Bowley Lecture: Itzhak Gilboa (HEC and Reichman University)
The Fisher-Schultz Lecture: Magne Mogstad (University of Chicago)
The Cowles Lecture: Silvana Tenreyo (LSE)
The Frisch Memorial Lecture: Hidehiko Ichimura (University of Arizona)

The program chairs are:
Rachel Griffith (lead chair), University of Manchester
Michihiro Kandori (co-chair), University of Tokyo
Francesca Molinari (co-chair), Cornell University
Valerie Ramey (co-chair), University of California, San Diego

The local organizing co-chairs are Yongsung Chang and Yoon-Jae Whang of Seoul National University. The local organizing committee will be comprised of Korea’s most prominent economists and leading academics.
