The ESEM conference will run concurrently with the European Economic Association (EEA) Meeting that will be held in the same location.

Submitting Entire Sessions: The ESEM accepts the submission of entire sessions but does not guarantee that all papers in a session will be accepted. If a session is not accepted in full, the Program Chair reserves the right to reassign papers. Full information on submitting full sessions can be found on your dashboard when you submit a paper.

Women In Economics (WinE) Mentoring Retreat: Following on from the very successful WinE mentoring retreats held annually from 2013 to 2020, the WinE Committee is pleased to announce the 9th retreat will be held in connection with EEA-ESEM Copenhagen 2021. The Econometric Society will once again join forces with the WinE Committee of the European Economic Association in the organization of this mentoring retreat.

The Retreat is open to early career female economists with positions (post-doctoral fellows, lecturers, researchers) at academic and research institutions and who obtained their PhDs between 2016-2021. The attendees will participate in a series of innovative discussions organized as panels and as smaller groups run by senior mentors. The discussions will cover topics such as publishing, writing successful grant applications, networking and career planning, with attention paid to the unique challenges that women may face at different stages of their careers. A number of attendees will also take part in the small group sessions, which will focus on participants’ research papers and provide an opportunity for detailed comment and feed-back from senior mentors in their field. There will also be many opportunities for the attendees to socialise with each other and their mentors during this event.

Full information on the event and on how to apply for it is available at https://eeassoc.org/events/women-economics-mentoring-and-networking-retreat

Looking forward seeing you in Copenhagen!
