The 2021 Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society will be held on June 25-27, 2021 at Curtin University Malaysia, Miri, Malaysia, the very first time that the AMES is held in Malaysia.

Program
The program will consist of contributed and invited papers, as well as plenary/keynote lectures including the Presidential Address, Sargan Lectures, and Chow Lecture.
Submissions
The program committee is now soliciting submissions. Papers can be on any applied or theoretical topics in the broad fields of economics and econometrics. Each person may submit and present only one paper, while may be the co-author of multiple papers. At least one co-author should be a member of the society, which can be joined or renewed at https://www.econometricsociety.org/user.
Prospective contributors are invited to submit papers by February 15, 2021 through Conference Maker at https://editorialexpress.com/conference/AMES2021.

Decision Notification Deadline: Mar 15, 2021
Registration Period: Mar 16, 2021 – Apr 30, 2021

Financial Aid
A limited amount of financial support fund is available for students and young scholars whose papers are accepted to present on the conference. The allocation of the fund will be on a competitive basis and applications will be evaluated by a review committee. The grants will help cover travel expenses and registration fees. Contingency Plan
Depending on the evolution of the situation, alternative options of a virtual conference and a hybrid conference are under considering as well. Should this become a necessity, it will be announced in due time and adjustments will be made accordingly, including the registration.

Hosting City
Situated in the middle of the west coast of the third largest island in the world, Miri is called Sarawak’s resort city and is the gateway to five national parks, including one UNESCO world heritage site. With daily (frequent) flights to regional and international hubs including Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore, the city, along with the other parts of the island, is well connected to the rest of the world.
