2011 Nobel Prize

October 10, 2011



The 2011 Nobel Prize in Economics has been awarded to Thomas J. Sargent and Christopher A. Sims "for their empirical research on cause and effect in the macroeconomy." Sargent was elected Fellow in 1976 and was President in 2005, and Sims was elected Fellow in 1974 and was President in 1995.
