Gruppo Unicredito: Pioneer Investments

Gruppo Unicredito

[ UniCredito Italiano | UniCredit Banca Mobiliare | Pioneer Investments ]

For over 74 years, Pioneer Investments has been a leading innovator in the mutual fund industry worldwide. From the outset, it has set benchmarks for excellence - delivering superior levels of service, building relationships that grow stronger over time and developing leading edge products to help its investors plan their financial future.

Global Reach
Pioneer Investments has investment centres in Boston, Dublin, Milan and Singapore, which together manage assets over €113 billion (as of 29 March 2002). In addition, it has sales and marketing centres in Boston, Buenos Aires, Dublin, Hong Kong, Madrid, Miami, Milan, Munich, Paris, Prague and Warsaw. Pioneer Investments is expanding its worldwide presence, distributing its products through financial professionals and institutions in each market.

Presence
With offices around the world, its local presence strengthens its ability to gather company specific information in the larger context of sector, country and global activity, allowing it to enhance and build relationships at all levels. Pioneer Investments on-the ground research enables it to make investment decisions that go beyond market trends or remote analysis. 36 dedicated equity analysts operating from its main US, European and Asian investment hubs meet the management of over 2,000 companies each year.

Experience - Professional Money Management Since 1928
Excellence in investing requires an innovative spirit. Pioneer Investments flagship fund, Pioneer Fund - the fourth oldest mutual fund in the United States - was founded in 1928 and has been outperforming the S&P 500 index in every 10 year period. After helping to establish the modern US mutual fund industry, Pioneer was the first asset management company in Germany to register US mutual fund under the foreign Investments Act. It continued this innovation as first to distribute open ended investment funds in Poland. Before the acquisition of Pioneer Investments by UniCredito Italiano, Credito Italiano was among the first to establish a European mutual fund, the Luxembourg based Capital Italia (1969), which is still doing well and is a top performer. Original thinking is the foundation of Pioneer Investments asset management, which has grown to over 230 investment professional worldwide. Recently Pioneer Investments has expanded into the Far East, with offices in Singapore and Hong Kong. Responding to shifting investor needs, it offers an increasingly diversified family of investment products. In addition to the development of a full range of equity and fixed income funds, it provides an established range of alternative investment products.
