A Note on Houthakker's Aggregate Production Function in a Multifirm Industry

Abstract
This note deals with Houthakker's approach of aggregating a production function for an industry. It tries to reverse Houthakker's procedure and to derived the distribution function of factor proportions from a neoclassical production function. Specifically, it derives the distribution function for a CES production function.
